MAGDALENE : DEBUT EP “WASTELAND” PRESS RELEASE
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - January 17th, 2026 - Magdalene released her six song debut EP “Wasteland”, featuring pulsing, lush lead singles “Good Book” and the roaring “Love Me Forever”. An East Nashville born and raised songwriting prodigy, Magdalene began writing songs as soon as she could make sounds. Her first performances of original material came at age 12. She had dozens of wise beyond her years songs before completing high school. For someone not yet 20, this debut feels like a long time in the making.
These six songs of young love and loss are at times still like a morning lake, and other times a riptide headed for the waterfall. Acoustic ballads lean into swaying indie rockers, with gorgeous string arrangements and folk instrumentation mixed with modern pop production throughout. Listeners hear the self hypnotism of a writer at the moment she is truly ready to let us all in. Magdalene comes from a family of artists and grew up as much in the Nashville art scene as she did the music scene. Coming of age in unprecedented days, Magdalene’s soulful tenor comes from a voice that may not play by the same rules of time as the rest of us. Soulful, pure, and effortless.
Magdalene is joined by Jacob Bibb on drums, James Eichman and Toby Silverman on guitars, and Max Langlinais on bass. Langlinais also produced and mastered the songs.
